How to keep cool?

After a sweaty half hour harvesting broad beans I returned to the house to process them and watch a recording of CARDINAL from BBC4.  First one of  one of my favourite series of books by Giles Blunt set in a very snowy and very cold north Canada.  Ah, that was cooling.

I am also following FARGO - set in a nice snowy Minnesota!

  1. I'm loving Cardinal despite the story line being pretty gruesome.

    1. The books are not quite so graphic. Love Agnes Obel's opening music too.

  2. I'm Cdn. so watched "Cardinal" earlier this year - really enjoyed it and it has been renewed for a second series.
I could do with some of that cold air today - it has actually cooled down to 25C after hitting near 40C on the weekend - and it's really humid. I'm just using fans right now but need the A/C at night so that I can sleep.
That's the one thing many folks don't realize about Canada - it's our extremes of temperatures. While -26C wouldn't surprise me in January or February - July & August norms are quite often over 30C for days at a time!

  3. Just like the other Canadian I watched Cardinal earlier this year and really enjoyed it.

We are just entering a period of lovely warm weather. I am enjoying it (well between the rain storms that is).

    God bless.
