Our village Facebook page is alive with local help, news and ideas (I will ignore the moaning). My favourite is for the children. Two similar ideas
1. Put a rainbow (colouring on A4) in your window
or 2. Put a teddy in your window
So children being taken for a walk can spot them and give you a wave. My children are 100s of miles away with the grandchildren so I don't mind waving to someone else's for now. Our garden is too long and hidden for a rainbow downstairs so made a wooden one and put at end of drive. Ted, and his sidekick Monkey, are upstairs staring across the ploughed fields ready to wave!
Mind you if the village young get this far out they will need 2 gold stars from mummy!! That's some walk for anyone under 8!!!
I was wondering about suggesting a virtual scarecrow competition for the village for May Bank holiday? The could dress a scarecrow for their front gardens and then post the pictures for a prize on the Facebook page.
I put 2 teddies on the parcel shelf of my car, its much nearer to the pavement. Not made a rainbow yet.
ReplyDeleteI think we will all be making STAY HOME posters next. Some people dont have a clue and endangering others.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a pity if we are all treated as idiots.
DeleteLove it it is not bubonic pkague, let's kill Facebook
ReplyDeleteLove your scarecrow idea!
ReplyDeleteI have a heart in my window for children to see and count as they go for a walk.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
