Left hand not knowing the right at the supermarket!

Just logged into our supermarket on line shopping. No slots for the next 7 days. Oh well, did not need anything for 2 weeks anyway so filled the basket, saved and logged out. Will try another day.

Then I looked at my email account.  Oh loo,k a message about "my offers", available to me, as a favoured shopper, Joy unbound.  Hang on if no click and collect for next 7 days, am I likely to get a spot on day 8 to take advantage?  I really doubt that.

Does the offer department know what the ordering department are doing do you think??  Or just doing this to thumb their nose at me?  Paranoid in Lockdown.

  1. That's funny! I get an e-mail on Thursdays to "Load My Offers" but unfortunately my shopping day is Wednesday and the previous week's offers have expired by then.

    1. Perhaps these computer systems aren't as clever as they think? LOL

  2. No slots on any of the supermarket sites I've looked at. I've checked almost every evening as shopping is really making me uncomfortable.

    1. Got one for later in week now. It really is luck of draw when you log in. Cant cope with shops and cant understand why people and media are "baying" for re opening!

  3. we managed to get a morrisons slot this week , its like a lucky dip it turned up a day early , with some odd substitutions and lots missing as usual . Weirdest one a whole carrier bag full of chowmein pot noodles . Mr likes them once in a while so he ordered 2 . You dont get to send subtitutions back at the moment ..lol

    1. Do you get the money back and get to keep them? That seems to be the method for some supermarkets and it must be costing them a fortune!

  4. I have no idea, but if you load them to your card the points should be awarded if they are bought within the period the offer is valid for however you pay for them.

I was at my local sainsburys yesterday and there were four delivery vans sat in the car park for the entire 2 hours and more that I was in town!

    1. I really am beginning to think there is something going wrong with this delivery lark. Woman 2 doors down has had 4 deliveries since it all kicked off. I was sympathetic at first as she is Agoraphobic but now annoyed.

  5. My Coop store will deliver the same day as an order is placed. My sister uses this quite often. Me, well I valiantly enter the store, following the arrows, taking care to social distance, wearing a mask and rubber gloves.

    God bless.
