Steam trains

Been out with visiting grand daughter (nearly two) on the steam train from Holt to Sherringham.

Bright at times but occasional vicious showers especially on the beach front.

Lots of fun places to eat like this tiny cottage but the more interesting places don't take cards - we emptied our pockets and had a super lunch of Moroccan soup and sandwiches for four for £20 from the combined change!

Here for a few more days and then we must get back to some veg gardening - weather is putting us 2 weeks behind.  Will have to catch up with blogging as soon as there is a spare mo in the day! Babies lots of work and washing!

  1. I was freezing at work last night. It took me ages to get warm again.

    1. I still have my 3 pairs of "thermal" socks on in rotation! Bet you are counting how many more night shifts you have to do - Can't be many?

  2. It's nice to get away and see grand children, but the pull of being in your own garden at this time of year is so very high.

  3. Hello Trish. - found your blog very interesting today. My daughter has got a new job in Holt and will be moving down in the summer. I am really looking forward to spending time in Norfolk, it is somewhere I have never visited before.

    1. We moved here 2 years ago and have only just started exploring. There are loads of nice places and it is hardly ever really crowded. I hope you like it!
