Are you trying to add to electioning statistics?

Just been to vote. The village hall car park was packed but someone had gritted the path nicely. Mission completed; went to get the milk in the supermarket,

Got out the car awkwardly to avoid the mud in the rutted verge he parked next to.
Twisted back
Slipped on a patch of black ice formed by a puddle in the pavement tarmac that was pitted and breaking up.
Bashed knee.
And got mud ingrained in my brand new winter coat's elbow.

Limped slowly indoors and reached for pain relief. Husband asked if I needed to add to the statistics of old people going to A&E.

Then wondered if the factor of old people like me falling over on way to polls, or going home, would lead to a spike in statistics for politicians to row about next time a date for the next election is in question?

Then he asked if as Parish Councillor I should be questioning the state of the verge and pavement outside the supermarket? Its a Borough matter, dear. What's the difference?

I may need more pain relief before the election results have finished.
