Changing things

Someone posted this on a Facebook feed which was strange as this last few weeks I had decided I would no longer be a prisoner to the small (even micro) things I could change and had determined everyday to make those changes happen.

So what have I done in the past few days?

1. Filled in the micro gap along the top of a two feet length of skirting in the lounge with Polyfilla. Looks better already. Spring painting will be easier.
2. The bedroom curtain black out lining was sagging away from the top letting in the sunlight. Re stitched a 6 inch length.
3. Put the chipped bowls and plates in a box to be re cycled somehow. Did not stop to ask why we kept using them even though we have plenty of unchipped ones as that felt like self doubt and recrimination,.

  1. Chipped things is one of my easy chuck-outs. Hate using anything that's even a little bit not perfect unless it's an antique and I don't have many of them.

Well done on your first three bits of getting sorted

  2. It's good ticking off annoying little jobs that need attention or things that need doing. Sometimes they are relatively simple but you just can't be arsed.

  3. Those little jobs are the ones that are usually put aside to do "later". Good for you on getting them done.

    God bless.

  4. Well done for starting as you mean to go on. I find great satisfaction in doing those tiny little things. I've actually been darning (well, sewing up) holes in some of my favourite socks and underwear lately, instead of just thinking 'I must do that'.

  5. I like the quote. That is good inspiration to go ahead and make the changes you can, and also when I can't I "Let go and let God."
You had a nice string of successes.

  9. Hey cool blog, just wondering what anti-spam software program you use for comments as a result of i get heaps on my blog. Anyway, in my language, there usually are not a lot good source like this.
I admire what you have done here. I like the part where you say you are doing this to give back but I would assume by all the opinions that this is working for you as well.
